Graham Street Murals
Created in 2012 by local artist Alex Croft, the Graham Street Murals depict a cluster of colorful tong lau (tenement buildings), inspired by the now-demolished Kowloon Walled City. The mural’s vivid palette and nostalgic style reflect the essence of old Hong Kong, blending urban heritage with artistic expression.
Though modest in size, the mural’s cultural impact is significant. It has become a beloved photo backdrop and a symbol of the city’s creative spirit. Surrounded by landmarks like Hollywood Road, Pottinger Street, and the Central–Mid-Levels Escalator, it’s a perfect stop on a cultural stroll through Central.
