Ha Pak Nai

Ha Pak Nai

Ha Pak Nai lies on the northwestern coast of the New Territories, facing Deep Bay and the skyline of Shenzhen. It’s one of Hong Kong’s last remaining natural wetlands, featuring a 6-kilometer shoreline of mangroves, mudflats, and intertidal zones teeming with biodiversity—mudskippers, fiddler crabs, and the ancient horseshoe crab among them.

At sunset, the landscape transforms into a glowing mirror of sky and sea, making it one of the city’s most beloved golden-hour spots. Photographers and nature lovers flock here to witness the serene beauty and rich ecology.

The area also holds historical significance, with a century-old brick fort linked to revolutionary movements in early 20th-century China. Scattered villages and farmlands nearby reflect a quiet coexistence between people and nature.
