Rosary Church

Rosary Church

Located at 125 Chatham Road South in Tsim Sha Tsui, Rosary Church was completed in 1905 and is the first Catholic church in Kowloon. Funded by Portuguese Catholic Dr. Anthony Gomes, it features Gothic architectural elements—red brick walls, pointed arches, and a tall bell tower—that lend it a solemn yet graceful presence.

Inside, the church is peaceful and reverent, with stained glass windows and a beautifully crafted altar. Despite renovations over the years, its original character remains intact. In 2010, it was designated a Grade 1 Historic Building, underscoring its cultural and architectural significance.

Beyond regular Masses, Rosary Church hosts concerts, seasonal celebrations, and community events, creating a space where faith and daily life gently intertwine. Nestled near Kimberley Road and Canossian schools, the church offers a quiet retreat amid the city’s bustle.
