Hong Kong Wetland Park
Hong Kong Wetland Park spans 61 hectares and serves as a showcase of wetland biodiversity and conservation. Located near the internationally recognized Mai Po wetlands, it features an indoor visitor centre and an expansive outdoor reserve.
The indoor galleries explore themes like “Human and Wetlands” and “Wetland Challenge,” using interactive exhibits and multimedia to highlight the ecological importance of wetlands. Facilities include a theatre, kids’ zone, gift shop, and café.
Outside, the Wetland Reserve offers mangrove boardwalks, bird hides, and freshwater ponds—home to mudskippers, fiddler crabs, herons, and the endangered black-faced spoonbill. It’s a haven for birdwatchers, nature lovers, and anyone seeking a peaceful escape into Hong Kong’s wild side.
