China Merchants Wharf
Located at 18 Sai Ning Street in Kennedy Town, China Merchants Wharf is operated by China Merchants Group and stands as one of Hong Kong’s oldest commercial piers. Since the late 19th century, the group has played a key role in maritime trade and logistics between Hong Kong and mainland China.
Today, the wharf features large column-free air-conditioned warehouses, temperature-controlled wine storage, and berths for vessels up to 30,000 tons. While still functioning as a logistics hub, its industrial charm and historical significance attract those interested in urban heritage and maritime history.
The wharf is close to the Kennedy Town Promenade and Sai Wan Swimming Shed, making it a scenic spot to enjoy harbor views and sunsets. Parts of the area have been rezoned for future commercial and leisure development, signaling a new chapter for this storied waterfront.
