Chun Yeung Street
Chun Yeung Street in North Point is a vibrant traditional market street famous for its unique scene of trams running through the market. Stretching about 300 meters, the street is lined with stalls selling fresh produce, meat, dried goods, and daily necessities. The most iconic feature is the Hong Kong tram—affectionately called “ding ding”—that passes right through the bustling market, creating a one-of-a-kind urban spectacle.
The street is named after developer Kwok Chun Yeung and was once nicknamed “Forty Houses” due to its original row of 40 connected buildings. Today, it remains a lively spot for shopping and photography, blending nostalgia with everyday life.
